Remember the story of Jesus walking on the water? The disciples had gone out into the Sea of Galilee and when they were way out on the water, a storm came up and began tossing their little boat violently. The men were frightened and feared for their lives.

Suddenly, Jesus is seen walking on the water toward them. Of course, they are astonished and believe they are seeing a ghost. (Matthew 14:22-33). Jesus says to them, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Peter asks Jesus if it is He, to have him come out of the boat and walk to Jesus.

Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You of little faith,” he said“why did you doubt?”

What a perfect lesson for us today as we navigate the storms in our lives. Peter was able to walk toward Jesus successfully while on the water except when he took his eyes off of Jesus! As we too navigate the storms, we must keep our eyes on Jesus.

The moment we look to fear and doubt, we begin to sink! Jesus tells us to keep our eyes ON Him! He invites us all to “come“. Come to Him right now! Give Him your fears and concerns. None of us need to navigate this or any storm alone.

Be blessed!
