At the end of March, I took a tumble in the backyard (not by choice), and tore ligaments in my right ankle. So, for the past few months, I have had to learn to do things in a different manner. Luckily, I discovered the scooter where you can put one bent knee and then zip around!

What used to be a real morning walk looks very different right now. My walk currently consists of taking a stroll with God through His pages of wisdom, love, guidance, logic, history, and common sense. This walk through the Bible may not provide me with the physical exercise, yet it certainly gives me the spiritual workout I need.

As many are getting so wound up with the latest news story, I urge you to turn it off, grab a cup of coffee, get your Bible and a journal and find a cozy place to turn to God. He will meet you right where you are! And, you don’t need to be a biblical scholar. All you need is a heart that is open and honest.

If you don’t know where to begin, turn to the book of John in the New Testament. That is a great place to learn about Jesus from a man who dearly loved the Lord. I believe you will find how much you yearn to learn more as you take a walk with God each day.
